Assistant Director - Product Management, Personal Insurance

The Associate Director of Product Development will be a key member of the Countrywide Auto Product team within Personal Insurance. This person is responsible for converting complex insurance data, market trends, and competitive insights into clear and actionable narratives that inform and influence strategic decisions.

• Aggregate, analyze, and leverage vast complex datasets from multiple sources to identify profitability and growth opportunities, customer behavior patterns, and emerging risks.
• Create recommendations or actions to mitigate adverse results from the above analyses.
• Translate complex data into clear, concise strategic executive summaries using varied storytelling methods for leadership with different technical expertise.
• Ensure ongoing consultation and collaboration with internal business partners to keep the customer at the center.
• Develop compelling, visually engaging presentations and reports tailored for senior executives, cross‑functional teams, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on personal lines insurance products, using advanced analytics and visualization tools to create dashboards and graphics.
• Partner with actuarial, underwriting, marketing, and operations teams to drive strategic decisions that enhance business growth.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, including State Product Management, Agency and Direct Distribution Channels, Marketing, Claims, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Billing Operations, IT, Data Science, and Strategy.

• Strong understanding of Personal Lines insurance products, coverages, and distribution channels including Direct and Agency.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize data to produce actionable recommendations.
• Strong presentation, storytelling, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to create concise, powerful content and visuals that influence diverse audiences.
• Experience challenging the status quo and influencing key stakeholders to drive change and innovation.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Knowledge of SQL, SAS, and Snowflake beneficial.
• Ability to independently lead cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.

• 7+ years of prior relevant work experience; P&C insurance experience preferred.

The role can have a hybrid or remote work schedule. Candidates who live near an office location may be expected to work in the office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office may work remotely, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

The listed annualized base pay range for this role is: $107,600 - $161,400.
