Job IntroductionThe company is an NJ-based woman-owned small business building a social entrepreneurship venture in the learning and enrichment space. The company is looking for a motivated and creative hourly Leadership and Impact Enrichment Instructor to join the team in rolling out the initiative in Millburn, New Jersey and surrounding neighborhoods! This is a paid hourly/flex position to deliver exceptional interactive leadership, community, and social impact related enrichment experiences to local families.
Hours may vary (e.g., 0-5 hours/week) depending on activity session demand by the families and/or other project needs that may arise from time to time within the candidate’s availability preferences, capabilities, and interests.
The ideal candidate will work together with the local team in areas such as planning and conducting enrichment sessions, operational logistics, stakeholder engagement, and other relevant team and administrative functions from time to time. The role will also support the employee’s personal and career growth goals.

Job Duties & Requirements- Instruct individuals and groups in enrichment activities involving leadership, social impact, and/or other relevant topics; adapt methods to participant and stakeholder needs and environments.
- Be on call as needed (flexible; may include after‑school and/or weekend shifts).
- Have excellent communication skills and fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Maintain punctuality and effective time management, including arrival to scheduled sessions in Essex and Union counties of New Jersey.
- Plan, order, manage, set up, conduct, clean up, and assess activities, materials, and supplies as needed for sessions.
- Be physically able to conduct in‑person sessions (standing, walking, sitting), lift supplies up to 10 pounds usually (up to 30‑40 pounds rarely), use vision and hearing to assess and provide feedback, and adapt spontaneously to participant needs.
- Improve and modify activity sessions regularly, integrating feedback and customization requests.
- Collaborate, train, and assess other team members, providers, apprentices, and/or staff in enrichment activities and skills.
- Participate in virtual and in‑person team meetings as scheduled.
- Perform work in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, company policies, industry best practices, and evolving regulations.
- Prepare required reports and paperwork as needed.
- Possess strong organizational, collaboration, multitasking, and reporting skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite; email and text messaging.
- Willing to learn and be flexible with evolving needs of an early‑stage initiative.
- Assist with various administrative tasks such as activity planning, team building, feedback, marketing, operations, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or modified by management.
- Be a strong individual and team player; detail‑oriented and proactive in teaching and problem‑solving.
- Maintain a positive, self‑motivated, and professional demeanor.
- Work with individuals and groups of any age, race, color, religion, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status without discrimination.
- Be passionate about supporting and empowering people to realize their goals.
- Bachelor’s degree, equivalent, or advanced degree preferred.
- 1+ years of related experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, training, coaching, or supplementary instruction preferred.
- Previous experience in event coordination, community service, customer service, communications, or related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn social media, marketing, content creation tools, or other relevant areas.
- Competitive hourly pay (~$20‑$30 per hour).
