Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Global Trade professionals, providing support, guidance, and career growth.
- Develop licensing plans and provide guidance for complex licensing strategy and program planning.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ITAR and EAR Export Authorization requirements and drafting.
- Prepare, submit, track, obtain, and manage export and import licenses, permits, and certifications, including Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA), and other authorization types.
- Collaborate with internal customers to develop export and import approvals that enable efficient export of technology, data, hardware, and services.
- Ensure all approvals are reviewed with applicable functions, stakeholders, and foreign parties before submittal.
- Obtain signed agreements and required documentation from foreign parties (e.g., DSP-83s, ITAR NDAs) as applicable.
- Provide status updates to programs and stakeholders.
- Manage day‑to‑day execution of agreements and licenses, ensuring compliance with all associated activities.
- Monitor authorizations for changes and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Review and approve foreign travel, foreign visits, and export/import transactions to assure regulatory compliance.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance, training, and support to program personnel on export licensing and compliance needs.
- Interpret and explain export compliance requirements such as license/TAA provisos, export regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Assist in learning and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Identify and report compliance concerns, assess errors, and implement corrective actions.
- Support management in investigating and resolving compliance matters, audits, and investigations.
- Minimum university degree; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience or 7 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience drafting and submitting Department of State and Department of Commerce license and agreement applications.
- Experience as an Empowered Official.
- Experience with DECCS, SNAP‑R, OCR EASE, or similar automated licensing and compliance systems.
- Active or transferable DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong time‑management, prioritization, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills; ability to collaborate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of Global Trade systems such as RGEMS and/or SAP.
- Strong leadership aptitude and experience in mentoring and developing high‑performing teams.

BenefitsCompetitive salary range of 132,400 USD – 251,600 USD (based on experience).
