Financial Analyst
Canon USA in Burlington, NJ is currently seeking a Strategic Pricing Analyst (Analyst, Strategic Pricing). The Strategic Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing price strategies for Workplace Technologies & Services (WTS) Customers. Builds financial models to price large scale, strategic bid opportunities, as well as supporting existing contracts and programs. Collaborates with members of the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Contracts and Solutions Teams to ensure customer proposals are complete, accurate, and timely.
This position is full time with a hybrid work schedule: office Monday through Wednesday, and option to work from home the remainder of the week.
Your Impact- Develops New Business pricing, guiding pricing decisions, analyzing and facilitating execution of pricing strategies
- Calculates proposed ROI for Customer Opportunities (including RFPs) and articulates risks and requirements
- Develops financial models (in-depth profitability analysis) for Business transactions and RFPs for a variety of clients
- Develops and executes comprehensive pricing strategies, provides solutions, and recommendations
- Identifies opportunities for change and implements price modifications, ensuring compliance with internal controls
- In-depth knowledge of company terms and conditions, to assess and respond to Customer terms and conditions for RFP responses
- Populates customer’s RFP submission template based on inputs from financial model
- Creates Contract Profiles for those Opportunities that result in a win
- Works with Business Operations and BPR Teams to create/update Contracts and/or price lists for order processing
- Builds professional, positive relationships with all departments in the workplace
- Presents Pricing Solutions and Response Strategies to senior leadership and sales team
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required (Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting); plus 3-5 years relative experience
- High level of business acumen required (knowledge of P&L, and ability to support Finance organization)
- Advanced MS Excel modeling experience required (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Self‑starter who determines what needs to be done and how to get it done rather than waiting for direction
- Sound decision making, high accuracy and solid task prioritization skills are a must
- Occasional overtime is required
Salary range: 66,300 – 81,550 annually.
