Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX

As a Senior Demand Planner, you lead and shape how demand planning drives business performance — turning complex data and cross‑functional input into the clear, aligned forecast leadership relies on to make strategic decisions. You set the standard for how the team forecasts — building more robust processes, advancing our forecasting methodologies, and developing other planners to raise the capability of the function.

You thrive in ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and influence senior cross‑functional partners to align on new approaches and challenge entrenched assumptions. You own the end‑to‑end demand plan, lead the IBP forums, and shape how our tools, models, and planning frameworks evolve over time. Your impact shows up in measurably better forecast accuracy, more proactive decision‑making, and the successful execution of high‑stakes initiatives such as new product launches and seasonal strategies.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team

Our Demand Planning team plays a pivotal role in connecting the business strategy to the realities of customer demand. We translate market signals, historical data, and cross‑functional insights into a clear, forward‑looking demand forecast that guides decision making across our organization. We work cross‑functionally to align on expectations, challenge assumptions, and continuously refine our outlook to ensure the right products are available at the right time.

We take ownership of the demand plan not as individuals, but as a collective – ensuring transparency, accountability, and shared success across the organization.

Core Activities

If you were in the Senior Demand Planner role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Owning the rolling 12‑18 month demand forecast, balancing statistical rigor with business strategy
  • Setting and owning forecast accuracy targets and driving their continuous improvement
  • Defining the statistical forecasting approach and building the baseline models the team relies on
  • Leading the demand plan through the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle and driving consensus across stakeholders
  • Reconciling top‑down financial targets with bottom‑up SKU forecasts and influencing leadership on how to close the gaps
  • Shaping the volume outlook that drives Supply Planning’s capacity and build decisions
  • Leading process‑development forums and advancing the maturity of how the team plans
  • Coaching and developing other planners, setting the standard for best practice across the team
  • Building demand curves and launch models for new products using analogs and market insight
  • Translating assortment launch plans into demand projections
  • Leading in‑season performance management and driving corrective action
  • Integrating feedback from all markets, regions, and channels in a timely way so your demand plan captures the latest business trends
  • Leading scenario planning and risk management, anticipating demand risks and supply constraints before they surface
  • Influencing and aligning cross‑functional partners – Merchandising, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Allocations, FP&A, and eCommerce to deliver results
Future Work Areas

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Driving process improvement through identifying opportunities and learnings for demand planning improvement projects and initiatives as they arise
  • Working closely with other supply chain and product teams on inventory strategies
  • Mentoring team members in support of their development
