Operations Manager, Supply Chain / Intl. Trade, Business Development

Responsibilities
- Identify constraints to flow that will be used to develop improvement and mitigation plans for improved on‑time delivery from suppliers.
- Acquire a vision of the big picture and understand that enhancing operational effectiveness is key to organizational business performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products and the operational processes they go through at the suppliers you are assigned.
- Generate and gain opportunities to break functional, operational, and logistical barriers faced with getting products out the door.
- Effectively drive tasks/projects to completion, including but not limited to:
Leading Indicator data collection and gap review, material coverage and tracking, facilitating quality notification communication and closures, and sub‑tier management assistance. - Manage multiple projects and interact with several departments and various levels of management simultaneously.
- Participate actively in Commodity Days, Executive Management Meetings, and co‑lead with customers and Supplier Development Leaders on Supplier Business Reviews and Rate Readiness Reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field and five years of experience in supply chain, business, or a relevant role; or an advanced degree and three years of relevant experience; or in lieu of a degree nine years of experience in supply chain, business, or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites.
- Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time to the San Diego County, CA area.
- Must be able to work 20% of the time from a home office in the San Diego County, CA area.
This role requires on‑site presence at Pratt & Whitney manufacturing suppliers in the San Diego County, CA area for approximately 80% of the time, with the remaining 20% performed from a home office in the same area.
CompensationSalary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD (based on experience and qualifications).
