Job Overview
KPU’s Office of Planning & Accountability is recruiting a Research Analyst to support strategic planning, evidence‑based decision making, and reporting needs. The role reports to the Manager of Institutional Analytics and involves collecting, compiling, verifying and transforming data, developing reports, dashboards, analytical models, and preparing data submissions for external government bodies.

Responsibilities

Collect, compile, verify and transform data into value‑added information and reports.

Design and execute reports and data visualizations, including dashboards, for a variety of users.

Develop analytical models to support forecasting, planning and decision‑making.

Prepare and validate data submissions for external government bodies and agencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Data Analytics or a related field with emphasis on research methodology (Master’s preferred).

Minimum three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience (post‑secondary education experience preferred).

Demonstrated analytical skills, including data analysis and reporting abilities.

Experience extracting, manipulating and analyzing large datasets efficiently.

Attention to detail, organized and systematic approach to work, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, ministry representatives and external partners.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with research, data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, R, SQL, notebooks, machine learning).

Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement. Employment Information
Permanent full time, hybrid work arrangement (office and remote); occasional travel between campuses.

Hours:

9:00–4:30 weekdays (35 hrs/week). The position is eligible for hybrid arrangements including remote work.
