Join to apply for the Clinical Operations Lead (US, Remote) role at Vira Health
Vira Health is a digital health company on a mission to extend healthy life expectancy for women, starting with menopause. Our virtual clinic, Stella, combines evidence‑based care, expert clinicians, and personalized support to help women manage symptoms and improve long‑term health outcomes. Founded in 2020 and backed by leading US and European investors, we’re closing the gap in women’s health with tools designed for how care should work today.
The RoleLocation: Remote (USA, CT preferred)
Compensation: $50,000 – $60,000 per year
As Clinical Operations Lead, you’ll help power the day‑to‑day engine of our US virtual clinic. From prescription workflows and insurance questions to clinician coordination and service escalations, you’ll make sure patients are supported and care moves forward. This is a high‑impact, cross‑functional role for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments and wants to build the systems that make great care possible.
You’ll work closely with teammates across the US and UK to keep things running smoothly, and to make them better every week.
- Own the resolution of service and clinical escalations, including disputed fees, patient concerns, and one‐off issues with empathy, precision, and a bias toward action
- Manage end‑to‑end prescription coordination: prior authorizations, shortages, signature chases, and other blockers that require follow‑through and clinical alignment
- Facilitate the completion of monthly and quarterly chart audits in partnership with clinical leadership
- Lead front‑line US patient support and manage day‑to‑day front‑office operations, ensuring every interaction reflects Stella’s standard of care with clarity, warmth, and follow‑through
- Support UK patient communications and front‑office operations as needed, stepping in to ensure continuity of care and operational excellence when coverage or collaboration is required
- Respond to patient insurance questions and manage escalations related to coverage, benefits, or denied claims
- Coordinate clinician schedules, navigate time‑off or coverage challenges, and help ensure our care team is set up for success
- Work with our engineering team to flag, triage, and troubleshoot tech issues that impact patients or clinicians
- Keep communication flowing across functions, surfacing insights and closing loops as we improve how we deliver care
- Patients experience Stella as organized, responsive, and human—even when things go sideways
- Clinicians feel supported by operations, and can focus on delivering great care
- The team trusts you to handle the moving pieces and keep things from falling through the cracks
- Operational fires don’t spread, because you’ve already seen the smoke and called the first responders
- You have 3+ years of clinical operations experience in a prescribing setting, ideally in virtual care
- You’re confident navigating clinical tools and tech, and comfortable troubleshooting or figuring things out on the fly
- You communicate clearly and empathetically with patients across channels, especially when things are unclear or emotionally charged
- You take direction well from a range of people and thrive in cross‑functional, collaborative environments
- You understand how care, people, and systems intersect, and you know how to keep things moving when they get messy
- You’re trusted to spot issues early, stay organized under pressure, and follow through without needing to be chased
- You’re energized by fast‑paced, high‑ownership environments where roles are fluid and initiative is valued
