Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Bentonville, AR, with flexibility to work from home part of the week. This position is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new commercial clients in target markets, including office, retail, medical, and industrial sectors. The manager will manage the full sales cycle: researching opportunities, generating leads, conducting discovery calls and on‑site facility walkthroughs, preparing tailored proposals, and negotiating contracts.
They will collaborate closely with operations and account management teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to service and to maintain strong client relationships. Day‑to‑day activities include pipeline management, CRM updates, outbound outreach, attending local networking events, and tracking sales performance against goals while representing the company’s brand and service standards.
- Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management, ideally in commercial services, facilities management, or a related industry.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
- Ability to conduct effective discovery meetings, develop tailored proposals, and negotiate agreements that align client needs with service capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Comfort with a hybrid work environment, including in‑person client meetings and site visits in and around Bentonville, AR.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deals simultaneously.
- Results‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Willingness to travel locally/regionally as needed for client meetings, walkthroughs, and networking events.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) and familiarity with sales reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in the commercial cleaning, janitorial, or facility services sector is preferred but not required.
