Play Right is the Belgian collective management organization (CMO) which manages and distributes the neighboring rights of performing artists. Founded in 1974 by musicians, Play Right eventually expanded its operations to manage the neighboring rights of actors, musicians, dancers, and circus artists as well. The repertoire of our affiliated performers is often broadcasted, downloaded, and sold abroad, thereby generating rights globally.

This process also applies to foreign artists whose works are publicly broadcasted in Belgium. Music, films, TV series... are borderless. Therefore, smooth and accurate data exchange is indispensable to our operations. Today, Play Right is based in Brussels, with a team of 20 people managing its daily operations. For the Members/International department, we are looking for a motivated employee to strengthen our international operations.
Job description As an International Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for foreign CMOs.
Working under the guidance of the Supervising Account Manager, you will coordinate and implement international data exchange processes with our partner CMOs in accordance with our exchange agreements.
Preparing and submitting artists’ claims based on the playlists received from our partner CMOs, as well as processing the claims received from foreign CMOs  ,  including data checks and follow-up where needed
Managing and updating international databases, with attention to data quality, consistency and accuracy
Monitoring and managing recurring claims and data deadlines throughout the year.
Analyzing international revenues, claims and partner data in order to identify priorities, detect improvement opportunities and support strategies to maximize Play Right’s foreign rights income’
Contributing to business intelligence and data-driven reporting across international claims, revenues and partner data workflows.
Supporting VRDB-related data management, such as processing candidate matches, managing suggestions or claims from other CMOs, and contributing to playlist-related data improvements.)
You have a at least a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, preferably in data science, data analytics, informatics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, business administration, economics, international relations, cultural management, law, music business, arts management, or a related field
You can use different Excel functions and/or build up more complex formulas and solutions to extract the relevant information from large Excel tables and to compare, verify and interpret data from different sources
You have a strong sense of data quality and analytical accuracy: you can identify inconsistencies, check information critically and contribute to reliable data exchange with international partners
You are comfortable working independently after a clear briefing, while knowing when to ask the right questions in complex data, claims or rights-related processes.
You speak fluent English, and you have a very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French. You are inquisitive, solution-oriented, and accurate, with the ability to translate complex administrative, financial and rights-related flows into clear actions and follow-up
You are able to use data insights to help identify priorities, spot improvement opportunities and support strategies to maximize foreign rights income.
You communicate professionally with international partners and can manage questions, expectations and follow-up with care, precision and cultural sensitivity.
You are dynamic, flexible and stress resistant and able to remain accurate and constructive when working with deadlines, complex data and multiple international partners.
