Assortment Analyst – Ross
Ross, a leading off‑price retail chain with over 2,200 stores, is hiring an Assortment Analyst to support the assortment vision and drive initiatives that optimize sales, inventory, and assortment results.

Dublin, CA. Buying offices in New York City, Los Angeles, and Boston; distribution centers nationwide. Ross is a Fortune 500 company.
The Assortment Analyst partners with merchants and planning to shape strategies that support the assortment vision. Responsibilities include analyzing data, driving projects, providing recommendations, and managing the execution of assortment strategies through allocation system applications.
Essential Functions Assortment Strategy Analysis- Collaborate with merchant partners to discover and strategize business and assortment opportunities.
- Conduct high‑level analytics to support business needs.
- Drive seasonal strategies, business events, and ad‑hoc requests.
- Define and implement allocation approaches that optimize inventory mix for the customer experience.
- Participate in field visits to assess allocation results and identify assortment opportunities.
- Collaborate with planning partners to resolve issues affecting plan achievement.
- Identify issues impacting inventory plan achievement and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Manage and drive allocation automation to support timely receipt processing.
- Maintain current and accurate allocation department tools.
- Validate automated allocation approaches.
- Support allocation execution through accurate and timely use of system applications.

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1–2 years of equivalent work experience
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Retail math skills
- Retail software experience, a plus (e.g., JDA or other allocation software)
- Ability to independently analyze data sets, solve problems, and summarize recommendations
- Work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, speaking on the phone, attending in‑person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files.
- Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
- Vision requirements:
Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. - Role may use a combination of in‑office and remote work, but requires regular in‑office presence for team interaction and collaboration.

SalaryBase salary range: $70,310 – $101,400 (dependent on experience, qualifications, location, and seniority). The range is one component of the total compensation package.
