Senior Consultant, Leadership Advisory

About the Role

The Senior Consultant, Private Equity Leadership Advisory brings solutions to Private Equity and Venture Capital clients by leading mid‑size engagements and significant work streams on larger projects. Senior Consultants deliver solutions that exceed client expectations, actively listen to clients, propose and implement advisory solutions, and delegate effectively with partners.

• Client Impact and Delivery: Deliver end‑to‑end executive assessment processes to Private Equity and Venture Capital clients; demonstrate a deep expertise in Leadership Advisory offerings; lead midsize engagements and significant work streams; conduct and debrief high‑stakes assessments for CEOs, boards, executive leadership teams, and senior leaders; deliver high‑quality work consistently, mitigating delivery and client expectation risks; delegate and collaborate with associates and consultants.
• Client Management: Demonstrate executive presence in senior‑level settings; engage boards, investors, and executives with confidence and tact; identify client business needs through questioning and listening; serve as a trusted advisor; describe and position the full breadth of Leadership Advisory offerings; support research on client and sector business issues; maintain and develop a strong network of client relationships.
• Business Development and Brand Positioning: Lead proposal development, including scoping and pricing; shape customized, differentiated proposals with a clear, compelling story; expand work with clients where needs exist; build an expanded portfolio of client relationships; advance opportunities to expand work; demonstrate thought leadership across markets and solutions.
• Developing Self and Others: Learn our private equity focus and operate independently within 6 months; model Witt Kieffer values (collaborative, committed, growing, adaptive, empathetic, diverse & inclusive); act positively in an inclusive workplace; develop and mentor junior colleagues; deepen consulting skills, business understanding, and expertise to enhance impact; may take on additional work based on capacity and expertise.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor's degree required;
  Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of postgraduate working experience, preferably in management or organizational development consulting.
• Experience partnering with private equity firms and their portfolio companies; understand private equity pace, value‑creation expectations, and investor mindset.
• Proven ability to produce exceptional written materials and executive‑level presentations.
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Industry experience in at least one market and a desire to learn others.

Base salary $160,000–$185,000 plus Leadership Advisory bonus plan. A full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and generous paid time off. Remote work is possible.
