Remote Housekeeping Supervisor directs the activities of those involved in providing a variety of industrial housekeeping services, oversees a broad range of cleaning projects and services required to maintain the cleanliness, efficiency, and livability of various commercial and industrial facilities, and operates and directs the activities of a commissary facility.

• Performs all duties required of a housekeeper or other assigned employee.
• Assigns, supervises, and guides all unit housekeeping and janitorial staff.
• Plans and prepares work schedules and assignments.
• Approves staff payroll documents, payables, etc.
• Trains new staff and provides ongoing training to existing staff.
• Establishes quality standards and work procedures for staff and evaluates their performance.
• Assists staff in the resolution of work‑related difficulties.
• Provides recognition, counseling, and discipline to assigned staff.
• May perform some actual duties of assigned staff and cover unusual circumstances.
• Responsible for interviewing and/or hiring housekeeping and janitorial staff.
• Adheres to strict safety guidelines and utilizes proactive methods.
• Supports and provides guidance in accordance with established safety program, policies, and practices.
• Participates in corporate safety program.
• Conducts safety meetings and ensures daily operations comply with company and client safety requirements.
• Identifies, resolves, or reports worksite safety hazards.
• Manages Haz Com implementation documentation.
• Completes accounting, safety, or administrative documentation or record keeping.
• Processes assigned supply orders and billings.
• Monitors, controls, replaces, and disperses assigned inventories.
• Conducts facility inspections to maintain quality of services.
• Coordinates equipment care and maintenance.
• Manages unit scheduling and travel requests.
• Resolves minor maintenance or client emergencies as they occur or takes steps to address them permanently.
• Handles commissary duties: cash, inventory control, deposits, ordering, and merchandising.
• Notifies supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met.
• Supervises staff.
• Completes other duties pertinent to the department or unit’s success.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by formal training, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years verifiable management experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or service industry.
• Experience demonstrating a working knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment, training and directing staff, and involvement in or advanced knowledge of corporate safety programs.
• Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS vehicle insurance policy.
• Intermediate skills operating Microsoft Office applications.
• Passes all pre‑employment contract requirements (drug test, physical, fit for duty assessment, hearing test, etc.). Applicants not located near a testing facility are responsible for travel costs.
• Cooperates and works as part of a team with employees, customers, and clients.
• Makes decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Stands for 12 hours per shift in the scheduled rotation.
• Lives in dormitory‑style settings and meets cleanliness requirements of the remote camp.
• Speaks, understands, reads, and writes English.
• Meets and adheres to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

For pre‑employment testing, Fairbanks, AK will be considered the point of hire (with the exception of drug testing, which will be conducted near the candidate’s place of residence).
