Job DescriptionReporting to the Global Transportation Manager, the International Transportation Analyst supports logistics operational implementation of new international transportation lanes, data analysis for improvement initiatives, and problem solving. The analyst is tasked with a variety of pre-scoped initiatives for execution and liaises with global, regional, or local stakeholders for implementation.
Responsibilities- Implement new carriers with identified sites (manufacturing plants, distribution centers, external vendors)
- Coordinate carriers and internal stakeholders on operational processes
- Align service level agreements
- Report status in shared implementation files
- Draft SOPs with support of carrier and local operational stakeholders
- Support procurement‑led new carrier lead pre‑RFQ implementation
- Conduct data analysis to support business case creation and problem solving
- Familiarity with containerized ocean shipping operations, especially export operations (marine terminal operations, steamship liner operations, drayage, intermodal rail)
- Knowledge of heavy‑air and parcel operations, volumetric weight calculations, Incoterms, finished goods distribution methodologies (hub‑and‑spoke)
- Understanding of project‑management methodologies
- Prior experience in a regulated industry, ideally Medical Device/Pharmaceutical setting
- Coordination and organizational skills to track implementation progress
- Resilience in complex organizations with fragmented information
- Stakeholder focus and emotional intelligence
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; data‑driven decision making
- Works well under pressure, meets deadlines with quality work
- Tolerance for ambiguity and ability to solve complex problems
- Financial acumen for logistics cost reporting and business case development
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel, Macros, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint)
