Role Summary

The RFP Specialist plays a critical role in advancing the strategic sales objectives of T. Rowe Price's global distribution units by supporting client servicing and prospecting activities. This includes ensuring that Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ) are created accurately and timely in accordance with client expectations. Coordination with global distribution units and subject matter experts (e.g. product, investment) as needed is essential to complete these requests with the objective of winning and retaining business.

The RFP Specialist is responsible for supporting senior RFP team members as well as managing less complex requests independently as appropriate. The RFP Specialist is expected to adhere to internal processes and partner effectively with team members across Global RFP to deliver high quality, compelling documents.

Responsibilities

The RFP Specialist is responsible for preparing, customizing, and managing content for deadline-driven requests for proposals from prospects and current clients:

  • Working within the agreed protocols and parameters of the T. Rowe Price RFP/DDQ process; including use of RFP Library Responsive, leveraging tech solutions, adhering to process and policy documents, sourcing information internally, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date statistics in the record system.
  • Effectively collaborating with all stakeholders required for effective proposal creation and delivery:
    Accurately highlight outliers, ensure information and data is correctly sourced; working with RFP Editors and SMEs to ensure timely delivery of requests. This also includes the formatting of the final response, attachments, and uploading to portals as well as working with Content Managers to ensure that original or revised content is vetted and captured.
  • Making an effort to tailoring the firm's standard responses as needed to ensure that competitive positioning points are communicated relevantly and effectively within each output; ensuring that each proposal exhibits editorial integrity, the firm's voice, branded strategies and a high degree of readability.
  • The RFP Specialist will be working on multiple project proposals at any given time so needs to be adept at project management co-ordination to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of deadline-driven tender documents.
  • Supporting and advocating for the adoption of technical solutions:
    Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance proposal development efficiency and effectiveness. The RFP Specialist needs to stay abreast of technical developments at the industry and firm level, demonstrating optimal utilization of the RFP team's technological resources. Active involvement in testing new technologies and defining best practices is crucial, encompassing AI utilization, process automation recommendations, and other innovative solutions.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 4+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Demonstrates an interest of the application of technology in business processes, including AI and other software to enhance workflow
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$51,000.00 - $87,000.00 for the location of:
Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers

$56,000.00 - $95,500.00 for the location of:
Washington, D.C.

$64,000.00 - $ for the location of:
New York, California

This job is eligible for overtime pay.
