The Manager of Global Sales for UATP’s Merchant Solutions business, known as UATP One, is responsible for developing and executing the global sales strategy to expand UATP’s footprint in the airline, travel, and payments ecosystems. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition, strategic partnership development, and expanding merchant services capabilities. This full-time remote position may be in North America, Latin America, or Europe and reports to the Managing Director of Sales for Merchant Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the global sales strategy for UATP One, with a primary focus on acquiring new merchants in the airline and travel sectors.
  • Lead business development initiatives, identifying and securing new opportunities with Fin Tech, PSPs, card schemes, and acquiring banks.
  • Build and manage strong commercial relationships with strategic partners to co-create value-added payment solutions.
  • Leverage expertise in payment orchestration and acquiring to advise merchants on optimizing their payment strategies.
  • Lead contract negotiations and commercial discussions, ensuring both profitability and partner satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory shifts to ensure UATP stays ahead of industry changes.
  • Represent UATP at global industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements as a thought leader in merchant services and payment solutions.
  • Provide sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and strategic insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of consultative sales experience in payment services, with a strong emphasis on acquiring, merchant acceptance, or payment orchestration platforms, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling partnerships with Fin Techs, PSPs, and acquiring banks.
  • Deep knowledge of payment flows, transaction processing, and industry standards, especially as they relate to the travel or airline sector.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close complex, high-value commercial agreements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time and maintain flexible work hours to accommodate global stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM and sales pipeline tools.
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Must reside in North America, Latin America, or Europe and be authorized to work in the country of residence without visa sponsorship.
