Disaster Recovery Grant Administrator – Reservist On Call
ICF’s Disaster Management Division is seeking a disaster‑recovery grant administrator to support federally and state‑funded programs during on‑call assignments. The role involves traveling to client offices, disaster recovery sites and being deployable for multi‑week assignments across the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Review and validate obligated project worksheets and submitted procurement, invoice and supporting documentation against the project scope.
- Research relevant regulations and policies to support eligibility determinations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to discuss concerns and recommend solutions.
- Conduct cost analysis, reconciliation and insurance alignment with client assets and funding.
- Communicate issues, problems and resolutions to project managers and stakeholders.
- Measure performance using key metrics and maintain data in management information systems.
- Provide customer service, listen, facilitate and negotiate problems.
- Collect documents at sub‑recipient sites and upload to DRS.
- Travel as required to client recovery sites, ICF sites and ICF management meetings.
- 3+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, insurance or auditing.
- 2+ years of recent intermediate MS Office experience (Word, Excel – Pivot Tables, V‑Lookup, formulas).
- Ability and willingness to travel by flight and vehicle for project work.
- Valid United States driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of experience delivering grant and program financial support to federal or state agencies (e.g., FEMA, DOE, DOT, EPA, Commerce).
- Experience in disaster recovery, catastrophic insurance, government grants or federal grant portals.
- Prior involvement in the FEMA Public Assistance program.
- Background in construction, grant management or relevant field.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Critical thinking, decision making, initiative and ability to work well under changing deadlines.
- Awareness and appreciation of diverse cultures and community dynamics.
Hourly pay range: $25–$40 per hour. This range is based on match to the job description, location and other factors and will not increase with higher education or experience.
LocationUnited States – position requires travel. Remote work possible for hour‑based on client site availability. Alabama Remote Office (AL99) is one location of interest.
