Data Analyst
Become a part of our caring community. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth evaluation of variable factors. You will report to the Associate Director of Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities- Support the internal specialty team with data analytics and reports.
- Manage relationships with vendors providing specialty care for specific medical conditions.
- Transform monthly payer financial data into standardized accounting format.
- Use your skills to make an impact.
- Analyze data to solve several business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction.
- Communicate updates and resolutions to customers, partners, and senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of data analytics experience OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience.
- Advanced skills in SQL query development.
- Advanced skills in Power BI report development (DAX, bookmarks, and data modeling).
- Familiarity with healthcare financial data or claims.
- Prior experience creating analytics solutions for several healthcare sectors.
- Ability to analyze data to solve business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction.
- Excellent communication skills for updates and resolutions to customers, partners, and senior leadership.
- Self‑provided internet service must meet minimum download speed of 25
Mbps and upload speed of 10
Mbps (wireless, wired cable, or DSL). Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections can be used only with leadership approval. - Associates who live and work from Home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi‑weekly payment for internet expense.
- Humana will provide telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for the position.

Travel:
While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings may be required.
Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
Pay range: $89,000 – $121,400 per year. The job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
