Position summary:
You'll support purchasing activities such as sourcing, bidding, negotiation, and vendor onboarding. You'll gain hands-on experience in vendor management, contract coordination, cost analysis, and procurement operations in a global setting. Key tasks include assisting supplier communication, data analysis for key performance indicators (KPIs), and coordinating purchase orders and onboarding processes.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting in cost saving, service level, payment terms and any other KPIs set in the Procurement department
- Assisting in sourcing the right vendors and requesting for proposal to secure competitive pricing and terms
- Processing purchase requisitions and purchase order issuance in accordance with company policy
- Procuring, expediting and coordinating to ensure purchases are secured in accordance with established procurement policies and procedures
- Supporting in sales Turnkey, Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) environment sustainability projects
- Managing and updating vendor onboarding/information within the system
- Assisting vendor relationship management by evaluating vendor KPIs and performance measures to maintain high supplier standards
Who we're looking for:
- University students pursuing a degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related Business discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excel dashboards with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) knowledge is preferred
- Must be able to work at the Tukang (Jurong) office
