Responsibilities- Oversee three administrative staff who cumulatively manage the inflow and outflow of H&HS’ $45 million‑dollar annual budget.
- Guide day‑to‑day work of the contract's analyst, billing analyst, and financial analyst to ensure all contracts, reimbursements, procurements, and federal draws are done accurately and timely per state and federal requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with MDHHS Financial Services Administration to address current and future grant needs.
- Receive and implement instructions from SAM 15 over Housing & Homeless Services and provide recommendations to SAM 15 on contract, procurement, billing, and other financial responsibilities.
- Act as liaison with the Bureau of Audit, Budget division, and Grants division for all federal and philanthropic applications.
- Ensure that all deadlines and financial requirements for fiscal and grant terms are met.
The physical location of this position is 235 S. Grand Ave., 11th Floor, Lansing, MI. Remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests may be considered. Selected candidates approved to work remotely or on a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided. If working remotely, employees are responsible for providing a secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions, a high‑speed Internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities at their own expense.
Qualifications- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
- Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and a criminal records check.
- Certain positions may require a criminal history background check.
