Grants & Contracts Administrator
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Grants & Contracts Administrator to support the full lifecycle of complex scientific research funding. This role partners with principal investigators (PIs) and research teams to prepare, submit, manage, and reconcile large federal and foundation‑sponsored grants.
Key Responsibilities Pre‑Award- Prepare and submit complex, multi‑million‑dollar grant proposals (e.g., NIH), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop detailed budgets and justifications across multiple funding sources.
- Collaborate with PIs and research teams to compile submission materials.
- Manage multiple concurrent proposals under tight deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to sponsor and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the financial lifecycle of grants and contracts, including multi‑project awards.
- Reconcile financials, monitor budgets, and resolve discrepancies.
- Track expenses and ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines.
- Prepare financial reports, rebudgeting requests, and closeout documentation.
- Support subrecipient monitoring and financial oversight.
- Provide financial insights and forecasts to PIs.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of research administration experience (pre‑award and/or post‑award).
- Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP and research systems experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous experience in complex academic research settings preferred.
- Flexible schedule; must be available for extended hours as needed for deadlines.
- 12‑month contract with potential for extension or permanent conversion.

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.34 - $47.52/hr.
