Join Our Small but Mighty Team!

Do you love meeting new people, making connections, celebrating local businesses, and being actively involved in your community? The Licking County Chamber of Commerce, a nationally recognized 5-Star Accredited Chamber serving nearly 1,000 member businesses, is seeking a highly motivated Membership Director to join our small but mighty team.

This part-time position (20-25 hours per week) offers an exciting opportunity to build relationships with local businesses, champion their success, and play an important role in strengthening the Licking County business community. The position includes competitive compensation, commission and bonus opportunities, excellent retirement benefits, and the potential to grow into a full-time position opportunity for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

As Membership & Engagement Director, you will be the primary relationship builder for many of our members and help ensure they receive maximum value from their Chamber investment.

  • Recruiting and retaining Chamber members
  • Building strong relationships with member businesses and community leaders
  • Leading and supporting the Chamber Ambassador Committee
  • Coordinating ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, grand openings, and member celebrations
  • Promoting member businesses through social media and Chamber communications
  • Conducting Chamber 101 orientation sessions for new members
  • Maintaining member records and following up on business listing and contact updates
  • Attending Chamber events and assisting with event planning, promotion, and execution
  • Serving as a friendly and professional representative of the Chamber in the community
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a true people person who enjoys networking, developing relationships, and helping others succeed.

  • Sales, customer relations, business development, or membership experience preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent follow-through
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable speaking in public and presenting to groups
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and social media platforms
  • CRM or membership database experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive team
