Role Overview
We are looking for a scheduler who will be responsible for managing the flow of activities for field crews. This position requires a customer-focused mindset and the ability to be on the phones for long periods while multitasking other priorities for the day. Responsibilities include monitoring the daily schedule, adjusting it as needed to complete expected and upcoming work, handling inbound emergency field assignments and other job site related calls before forwarding them to the correct internal team member, and collaborating with service managers, office staff, technicians, customers, and others to help get work scheduled and completed as seamlessly as possible.

- Schedule all field projects for upcoming jobs after communication and collaboration with various internal and external departments.
- Ensure field crews have an appropriate amount of work that can be executed and communicate to supervision any performance in the field that is irregular.
- Monitor performance of the field for management reports, including productivity, utilization, overtime, travel time, and other key resource metrics.
- Manually allocate field activities to field crews, including travel time, emergency work, and various equipment rentals for when the crews are working.
- Manage real-time adjustments to crew schedules due to resource changes or business conditions that may change during the day.
- Work with operations and HR on tracking new hires in the field to ensure proper visibility and documentation for future team members.
- Coordinate with purchasing department for job-specific materials needed to complete jobs.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct field scheduling experience.
- Associate’s degree in construction management, logistics or business related field, bachelor’s preferred.
- Thorough understanding of standard construction scheduling procedures and practices.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to use computers and office productivity software.
- Planning, organizing, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to be an effective team member and handle projects responsibly.
Physical Requirements
Overtime hours may be required at month end and as requested. The work environment is controlled climate, office setting, with occasional work from home options. Employees are required to sit for long periods of time, typically 8 or more hours per day, and frequently use monitor, keyboard, mouse, and phone.
