Join Our Team as a Senior Compliance Consultant
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Compliance Consultant to join our team in the vibrant city of Oakland, CA. This hybrid role offers the perfect blend of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility, with three days in the office and two days working from home each week. As part of our team, you'll receive a PG&E-issued laptop to ensure seamless integration into our operations.
PositionSummary
As a Senior Compliance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting policy scanning, requirements management, and strategic planning within PG&E's Electric Compliance organization. Your responsibilities will include conducting research and analysis of regulatory developments, maintaining compliance documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure clear business processes. Additionally, you will support process improvements that enhance safety, reliability, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities- Support policy scanning and cross-functional projects to strengthen Electric Compliance processes.
- Research and analyze regulatory developments and industry trends affecting compliance programs.
- Maintain compliance documentation and tracking tools for audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Analyze current compliance processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with teams across Operations, Engineering, Law, and Regulatory Affairs for compliance support.
- Prepare reports and presentations for compliance tracking and regulatory requests.
- Monitor compliance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to stakeholders on compliance processes and documentation needs.
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, public policy, finance, engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Three to five years of relevant work experience in regulatory, compliance, policy, or analytical roles.
- Strong familiarity with compliance processes and regulatory analysis.
- Excellent research, analytical, and information-gathering skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- NERC experience is preferred.
- Experience in process improvement, controls, or implementation efforts is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the utility or electric operations industry is preferred.
- Educational background or coursework in electrical engineering is preferred.
- Experience with benchmarking, risk assessment, or evaluating operational efficiency is advantageous.
