Advice from Vanguard (AfV) within Vanguard Workplace Solutions (VWS) plays a critical role in helping workplace participants achieve better financial outcomes through scalable, personalized advice experiences, and is central to the Vanguard mission. AfV owns the end‑to‑end strategy and oversight of Vanguard’s workplace advice capabilities, including Digital Advisor (DA) and Personal Advisor (PA). DA delivers automated, discretionary portfolio management and financial planning at scale, while PA provides a more personalized, advisor‑led experience for participants seeking partnership with a human advisor.

These capabilities form the foundation of Vanguard’s proprietary workplace advice offer and the role brings together product strategy and execution, distilling competitive insights, understanding participant needs, and shaping the most critical capabilities to improve our offer.

• Strategic and Offer Analysis: Develop and lead complex strategic, competitive, and product analyses with the record‑keeping and advice landscape, independently identifying and defining business challenges, designing research and analysis approaches, and delivering comprehensive, executive‑level recommendations and delivery approaches.
• Analytical Analyses: Interpret and analyze highly complex data using business acumen to derive key insights, verify data quality and accuracy, and present data in a compelling storyline with actionable business insights.
• Competitive and Market Insights: Research and analyze emerging product and industry trends, distill key impacts to the advice strategy and offer, and influence cross‑divisional leadership on strategic and competitive implications.
• Delivery Oversight: Serve as the business lead for key initiatives, partnering closely with technology teams to translate strategy into execution, shape scope and priorities, ensure alignment to business outcomes, manage trade‑offs, and support delivery through the full lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Workplace Solutions and Personal Wealth, including product technology teams, operations, marketing, legal, and finance, acting as a trusted thought partner to align diverse perspectives.
• Business Planning: Lead and support key elements of annual business planning for AfV within Workplace Solutions, including business case creation and roadmap development.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of five years related work experience, specifically leading large‑scale strategy projects as well as product development and project management.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; graduate degree preferred.
• Ability to adhere to the Hybrid Work Model requiring onsite presence on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work possible on Monday and Friday.
