Looking for someone with Free Trade Agreements and its rules of origin, also to have proven tariff classification experience (Harmonized Tariff System) for Customs declarations.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Specialist to support Free Trade Optimization (FTO) and Customs & Trade Compliance across the APLA region. This role will focus on driving duty savings, ensuring customs compliance, and supporting effective utilization of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) through accurate product data management, classification, and trade analysis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customs, trade compliance, or supply chain operations, along with strong analytical and collaboration skills. Candidates from customs brokerage firms, consulting firms, or global trade environments are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support execution of Free Trade Optimization (FTO) initiatives across APLA
  • Analyze product and sourcing data to identify FTA opportunities and duty savings
  • Maintain and manage product attributes and ensure data accuracy within internal systems
  • Assign and validate HTS classifications to support compliance and FTA eligibility
  • Review customs documentation and support compliance audits
  • Resolve data gaps and ensure alignment with customs and trade requirements
  • Collaborate with sourcing, product, technology, and global trade teams
  • Work closely with external customs brokers and factory partners to ensure compliance standards are met
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, International Trade, Business, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in customs, trade compliance, or supply chain operations
  • Strong understanding of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Rules of Origin
  • Experience with product classification and customs documentation preferred
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working across multiple countries or cultures
  • International trade exposure or additional language skills preferred
  • Familiarity with customs brokers, consulting firms, or global trade operations
Preferred FTA Knowledge

Experience or familiarity with the following agreements is highly preferred:

  • RCEP
  • CPTPP
  • AJCEP
  • AKFTA
  • CN-KR FTA
  • AIFTA
  • ACFTA
  • AANZFTA
