Associate Account Manager
Location:
Carlsbad, CA Salary: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year Shift: Hybrid work schedule with a mix of in-office and remote work (likely 3 days in office, 2 days remote). This job's for the talker, the helper, the keyboard ninja. You bring the heart; we'll bring the job. As an associate account manager, you'll support people, solve problems, and grow your career.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, HR, or a related field
- Strong interest in building a long-term career in employee benefits consulting
- Bachelor's degree required
- California life & health license required or willingness to obtain within a designated timeframe
- Experience with ease and employee navigator is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal teams
Duties:
- Assist account managers with daily client service activities and account support
- Prepare renewal spreadsheets, proposals, presentations, and client communications
- Coordinate with carriers, TPAs, and vendors to gather information and resolve issues
- Support employee enrollments, benefit changes, and terminations
- Help maintain compliance documentation and ensure reporting is accurate and timely
- Assist with open enrollment planning, employee communications, and benefit materials
- Participate in client meetings and gradually take on increased client-facing responsibilities
- Track renewal timelines, deliverables, and key account activities
- Maintain organized client files, records, and benefit documentation
- Identify client service trends and help develop proactive solutions
- Support benefit plan administration across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA programs
