Business Analyst Focused On Legal Software Renewals

As a Business Analyst focused on legal software renewals, you will own the end-to-end renewal process for a portfolio of industry-leading legal software products, including Legal Tracker, HighQ, Exterro, Open Text, and Document Intelligence. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of customer relationships, commercial strategy, and operational excellence. You'll work closely with Account Management, Account Specialists, and Customer Success Managers to ensure renewals are handled accurately, on time, and in alignment with broader business goals.

As the go-to expert on legal software contracts and pricing, you'll be an indispensable partner to the account team — bringing clarity, confidence, and solutions to every renewal conversation.

In the role of Business Analyst, you will:

• Own and manage the full renewal lifecycle for a portfolio of legal software products, including Legal Tracker, HighQ, Exterro, Open Text, and Document Intelligence.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive pricing proposals for renewals.
• Proactively manage the customer notification process to ensure timely awareness of upcoming renewals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management, Account Specialists, and Customer Success Managers, staying ahead of potential issues before they arise.
• Identify and communicate renewal risks and opportunities to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on legal software contracts and pricing, bringing that expertise to bear as a trusted and essential member of the account team at every renewal touchpoint.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers on all contractual and pricing questions related to renewals.
• Lead and facilitate renewal negotiations using established playbook approaches, while developing creative, ad-hoc solutions for complex or escalated situations.
• Continuously develop and refine processes and tools that scale the renewal function and drive greater efficiency.

You are a fit for the role of Business Analyst, you will:

• Have 3–5 years of experience in a renewals, sales operations, contract management, or business analyst role, preferably within a SaaS or legal technology environment.
• Be familiar with legal software platforms or enterprise software contracts.
• Have experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and contract management systems.
• Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret pricing models and renewal data.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you're comfortable engaging customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Prior experience managing renewals for legal or compliance software.

Comfort facilitating negotiations and navigating escalated or complex customer situations.

A track record of building or improving operational processes, not just following them.
