As Diagnostic Solutions, Discovery Consultant you will assess customer operations to identify innovative opportunities for cost savings and efficiency across a customer’s lab network. Your goal is to optimize customer organizational performance by enhancing the alignment and efficiency of business processes and ensuring continuous, sustained improvement through the implementation of Danaher Business System tools and methodologies.
This position reports to the Director, Performance Partnership Discovery and Delivery and is part of the Performance Partnership team.
Responsibilities- Partner with Performance Partnership leadership and cross‑functional teams to identify operational gaps and apply DBS and Lean tools to eliminate waste and improve workflows.
- Analyze current‑state data to develop proof points, marketing materials, and clear linkages between strategic objectives and process improvements.
- Lead customers through operational re‑engineering and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting strategy deployment through tactical roadmaps.
- Contribute to the development of Beckman’s DBS assessment tools, frontend offerings, and future product innovation initiatives.
- Support executive‑level engagements by leading SOW development, participating in VIP presentations, and transitioning client relationships to delivery teams post‑sale.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of laboratory management experience focused in anatomical pathology and 10+ years of commercial experience in consulting, sales, or continuous improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or demonstrated progress toward certification.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to consult across complex business systems and influence cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies at the C‑suite level.
- Advanced communication, consulting, training, and influencing skills with proven ability to work across functions, regions, and cultures.
- Demonstrated project management expertise, including action plan execution, time management, and development of corporate‑level training and mentorship programs.
- MBA or bachelor’s degree in operations management, health care management, business or industrial engineering.
- Background or knowledge of hospital finance.
- Expertise in organizational development, executive leadership and mentoring required.
Travel requirement – 75% with potential for future international travel.
Remote WorkThis position is eligible for a remote work arrangement.
Salary & BenefitsThe salary range for this role is $150,000-$190,000. This role may also be eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.
