Position: Manager, Global Trade (Remote)

Required Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship is required and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is mandatory. An active, existing clearance is required after day one.

What You Will Do
  • Develop export and import strategies for international suppliers, PO issuance, and foreign manufacturing of defense and dual‑use articles.
  • Develop licensing plans and provide guidance for complex licensing strategies and program planning.
  • Provide consistent interpretations under ITAR and EAR for Business Unit employees.
  • Prepare, submit, track, obtain and manage all necessary U.S. government export and import licenses, permits, and certifications—including TAAs, MLAs, and other license types.
  • Work closely with internal customers to develop approvals that allow efficient export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services.
  • Ensure review of the effort scope with applicable functions, stakeholders, and foreign parties before submission.
  • Obtain signed agreements and other required documentation from foreign parties (e.g., DSP‑83s, ITAR NDAs).
  • Provide status updates to programs and stakeholders for awareness.
  • Review approvals to ensure execution and deliverables are considered.
  • Manage day‑to‑day execution of agreements and licenses, ensuring compliance under all activities.
  • Monitor authorizations for changes and take action when necessary.
  • Assure regulatory compliance by reviewing and approving foreign travel, visits, and trade transactions.
  • Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to learning and audit assessment programs to ensure effective internal controls.
  • Identify and report compliance concerns, identify errors or areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support management in investigating and resolving compliance matters, audits, and investigations.
  • Apply international trade regulations to real‑life situations to enable international business support.
  • Handle complex licensing issues including permanent, temporary export and import licenses, re‑exports, and re‑transfers.
  • Develop and deliver training as required for employees engaged in international business activities.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for all export and import licensing personnel.
What You Will Learn
  • You’ll master providing insightful guidance on licensing strategies and portfolio management, preparing compliant export requests to drive business growth.
  • You’ll learn to create consistent, repeatable licensing strategies for the international supply chain, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • You will play a pivotal role in continuous improvement of licensing and compliance processes.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • University degree required with a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience applying U.S. Government Trade regulations such as ITAR, EAR, Customs, ATF, etc.
  • Experience with DECCS, SNAP‑R, OCR EASE, and/or SAP/GTS related systems.
  • Experience drafting, submitting, implementing, and managing agreements, licenses, general correspondences, third‑party transfers, and complex export strategies.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Current or prior Empowered Official experience.
  • Problem‑solving ability, working under time‑sensitive circumstances independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong communicator to develop and conduct stand‑up training.
  • Excellent customer‑relation and interpersonal skills to develop effective networks and partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to interpret and implement GT regulations accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management to resolve ambiguous or incomplete situations while managing multiple high‑priority needs.
