Patients with mitral and tricuspid heart valve disease often have complex conditions with limited treatment options. Our Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) business unit is boldly pursuing an innovative portfolio of technologies to address a patient’s unmet clinical needs.
The Manager, Commercial Insights will drive critical business activities that ensure the planning and execution of key sales and marketing strategies in the field force (sales reps as well as clinical specialists) by developing and executing sales compensation and quota, monitoring daily sales and clinical training performance, developing systems and processes to support field efforts and performing key analyses to drive better management decisions.
This role is open to US‑based candidates; remote or a local hybrid setup in Irvine, CA is possible based on individual preference.
How you’ll make an impact- Core Insight Generation
Synthesize data across multiple functions (sales, marketing, operations, etc.) to create a cohesive, end‑to‑end view of organizational performance. Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that inform executive decision‑making. Identify key business drivers, performance gaps, and growth opportunities through structured analysis.
- Cross‑Functional Alignment
Partner with commercial, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to define critical questions and insight needs. Lead cross‑functional discovery efforts (e.g., leadership interviews, workshops) to align priorities and metrics. Ensure consistency in definitions, KPIs, and reporting across the organization.
- Data & Systems Integration
Map and integrate disparate data sources and reporting systems into a unified insights framework. Improve data quality, governance, and accessibility to enable scalable analytics. Identify redundancies and streamline reporting processes to reduce fragmentation across the business.
- Storytelling & Executive Communication
Develop compelling narratives that connect insights to strategic priorities and business outcomes. Create executive‑level deliverables (dashboards, presentations, business reviews) that drive clarity and action. Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership by framing “the story of the business.”
- Strategic Planning Support
Enable leadership to make data‑driven strategic decisions by providing forward‑looking insights and scenario analysis. Support planning cycles (annual, quarterly) with integrated views of performance, pipeline, and capacity. Track and evaluate effectiveness of strategic initiatives and organizational investments.
- Process & Capability Development
Design scalable insights frameworks, dashboards, and reporting standards across the organization. Establish best practices for analytics, insight generation, and decision support. Drive continuous improvement of processes that link data, insights, and business action.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria.
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in sales operations, sales strategy, and/or sales business intelligence.
- Advanced proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Oracle, JDE, MIDAS, Tableau, ELBIS, , or Qlik View.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Copilot etc.).
- Knowledge of sales operations, marketing, finance, and commercial data systems.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and cross‑functional deliverables.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships.
- Ability to think strategically, connect insights across the business, and recommend practical solutions.
- Sound judgment and decision‑making skills, including the ability to move work forward when consensus is not immediate.
- Demonstrated credibility, integrity, and a track record of delivering results.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and to escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience supporting projects and partnering with project managers, sales strategy, and operations teams.
- Ability to provide task‑level guidance to outsourcing partners or external vendors.
- Commitment to following all company rules and requirements, including pandemic protocols and Environmental Health & Safety rules.
For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $121,000 to $171,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
