Position: Faciliites Management / Emergency Planning Specialist
Position Summary

The Division of Management Services (DMS) is currently looking for a Facilities Management / Emergency Planning Specialist (Facilities Management Specialist
1) to join our dynamic team. The DOJ Division of Management Services provides operational support to the Department of Justice.

Under the general supervision of the Division Administrator for the Division of Management (DMS), this position plans, coordinates, and supervises buildings, leases, repairs, and improvements for all department locations. This position is responsible for providing leadership and coordination with procurement efforts, repairs, maintenance services, supplier management of facility improvements, and product tracking for owned and leased properties.

The position is responsible for acting as the department's Continuity of Operations Program (COOP)/continuity of government (COG) manager, overseeing the development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures designed to ensure the continual operation of essential department functions.

Salary Information

The Facilities Management Specialist 1 position is in pay schedule 07 and pay range 04. The starting base wage will be between $31.00 - $35.77/hour ($64,480 - $74,401 annually). The starting pay will be determined depending upon experience and qualifications. Pay for current or former state employees will follow the provisions found in the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan effective at the time of hire.

A 12-month probationary period may be required.

Job Details

This position may begin as five days per week at the Risser Justice Center, with the ability for up to 40% remote after successfully completing the required training period. In addition, the employee may need to report to DOJ on short notice as operational needs require. The selected employee must report to DOJ's office on the first day of employment. High speed internet access will be required to meet needs of remote work.

Occasional in-state travel may be required. Must be eligible to drive when required for travel.

The Department of Justice does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9.

A background check, including fingerprints, will be completed on applicants prior to selection.

Qualifications

* Developing and managing facilities programs (e.g., developing and implementing space management and preventative maintenance programs, operating and capital project budgets, and completing procurement for repairs and maintenance).

* Developing, planning, evaluating, and/or analyzing policies or programs related to continuity of operations, incident management, workplace safety, or similar.

* Collaborating with others across functional areas of an organization.

* Presenting complex or technical information in a variety of formats (e.g., verbal briefings, presentations, trainings) to internal and external stakeholders.
