Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the performance, optimization, and ongoing management of the Sales Pad platform, which supports order management and warehouse operations (WMS), along with its integration to Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP). This role acts as the internal expert on system functionality, data accuracy, and end-to-end order processes, ensuring systems operate efficiently and support a high‑quality customer experience.
This is a highly cross‑functional, business‑facing role focused on analyzing workflows, identifying process and system improvements, and partnering with developers and internal teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Own the configuration, performance, and continuous improvement of Sales Pad across order management and warehouse operations.
- Assess system usage, identify inefficiencies, and drive enhancements.
- Collaborate with external development partners to execute system updates and improvements.
- Oversee integrations between Sales Pad, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Shopify.
- Ensure accurate and timely data flow across platforms, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions with Finance, IT, and third‑party vendors.
- Manage the full order lifecycle from entry through fulfillment and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at every stage.
- Monitor workflows, address process gaps, and maintain adherence to defined standards and SLAs.
- Support and optimize Sales Pad WMS capabilities, including inventory tracking, pick/pack/ship processes, and receiving workflows.
- Partner with warehouse teams to ensure systems align with physical operations and quickly resolve discrepancies.
- Continuously evaluate sales, fulfillment, and operational workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Leverage tools, including AI where appropriate, to analyze processes, identify opportunities, and implement improvements.
- Lead and support system‑related projects, including enhancements, upgrades, and process initiatives.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and manage execution with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for system‑related initiatives across Sales, Customer Service, Finance, IT, and Warehouse teams.
- Drive user adoption through training, provide ongoing support, and maintain system documentation.
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, order management, warehouse operations, or a systems‑focused role.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, or order management/WMS platforms (Sales Pad or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate and improve processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical direction for developers.
- Proficiency in Excel and working with operational data.
- Experience managing system integrations (ERP, eCommerce, or middleware).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Net Suite, Shopify, or similar platforms.
- Experience in distribution, consumer goods, or operations‑driven environments.
