A Brief Overview
The Procurement Analyst transforms procurement data into actionable insights that drive strategic sourcing, operational efficiency, and supplier performance. The role involves building dashboards, tracking supplier performance, and supporting strategic sourcing through data‑driven insights. The Procurement Analyst at Safelite will have a crucial role in ensuring effective implementation of reporting, auditing, and measurement for sourcing and procurement initiatives within indirect and direct procurement to deliver essential analysis to help achieve organizational goals.
Additionally, the role involves supporting Safelite's corporate responsibility efforts in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) through comprehensive reporting, analysis, and project management.
The analyst partners closely with suppliers, category managers, and internal stakeholders to support strategic sourcing initiatives and drive high levels of procurement adoption.
Expected Work Location (In Office)It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Safelite Home Office (7400 Safelite Way, Columbus, OH 43235). You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.
What you will do Reporting and Analysis- Function as the main point of contact for all reporting and analysis activities within the Safelite Procurement organization. Develop and maintain detailed reports to monitor progress and performance and identify opportunities to reduce costs or enhance efficiencies. Utilize the spend data platform to identify trends and maintain categorization to improve analytics.
- Develop dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to track procurement KPIs.
- Support sourcing and category teams with spend analysis, cost modeling, and supplier benchmarking.
- Prepare regular MIS and executive summaries for leadership review.
- Oversee the reporting and analysis of ESG metrics, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and contributing to the organization’s sustainability objectives. Lead ESG‑related projects and initiatives in collaboration with cross‑functional teams to meet organizational goals. Scope includes glass recycling, waste diversion, supplier diversity, scope emissions, and other key metrics.
- Automate procurement dashboards and perform routine quality checks to ensure data accuracy across ERP and S2P (Source‑to‑Pay) systems.
- Analyze market pricing trends, conduct cost‑benefit analyses, and support Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and compliance.
- Perform and oversee monthly spend and supplier reporting audits, and support and provide ad‑hoc data requests for cross‑functional teams.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement, finance, business analytics, ESG sustainability, and/or technology.
- Data modeling and data mining experience turning raw information into strategic intelligence.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large sets of data.
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools – must have Power BI and/or Tableau experience.
- Proficiency in ERP and e‑procurement systems (like Fusion, Coupa, or Net Suite).
- Experience working with supplier spending, spend categorizations, and spend auditing data to identify spend improvement opportunities.
- General understanding of sustainability practices, supplier diversity, ESG principles, CDP and relevant regulations.
- Indirect Procurement functional knowledge.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Simfoni, SAP Concur, Engie, and/or Service Channel platforms.
- Basic coding experience – ideally using Snowflake or Python.
