Product Manager, AI Business & Operations
As a Principal Product Manager for Public Sector, you will focus on shaping Akamai’s next-generation government products by solving complex customer problems while ensuring compliance standards.
Responsibilities- Leading product strategy and roadmap development aligned with Public Sector requirements and market opportunities.
- Gathering and synthesizing requirements from government agencies and internal stakeholders to guide product development.
- Defining and tracking success metrics for new products and features from prototype through production deployment.
- Presenting product vision and updates to senior leadership and government stakeholders with compelling clarity.
- Building partnerships across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams while maintaining effective communication channels.
- 10+ years of product management experience launching complex cloud/SaaS products and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance, are required.
- Experience supporting DoD, IC, or federal civilian agencies in cleared environments.
- Deep understanding of U.S. Public Sector compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP and Cloud Impact Levels.
- Advanced technical knowledge in cloud computing, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization by aligning stakeholders through clear communication and collaboration.
- Customer‑centric mindset, problem‑solving expertise, and commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

CompensationFor U.S. based candidates only, the base salary ranges from $159,600 – $287,400 per year. Compensation is determined by factors including relevant experience, skills, certifications, and location. Incentive compensation, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) may also be part of the package.
