Supervisor - Tire Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for managing tire bay operations at the club level, including tire sales, installation, repairs, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. Supervise tire bay team members and uphold club policies and procedures.

• Supervise and schedule tire bay team members, ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to policies.
• Install, dismount, rotate, and balance tires, including mounting and balancing procedures.
• Sell and repair tires, handle cash transactions, and manage sales records.
• Properly dispose of tires and maintain propane tanks in accordance with club policy.
• Maintain and order tire installation equipment; ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Keep the tire bay and waiting area clean, professional, and well-stocked.
• Merchandise tire displays and automotive products, providing knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
• Coordinate with Home Office on member tire needs and special‑order tire programs.
• Monitor sales transactions, perform cash handling, and conduct tire bay audits and checklists.
• Maintain records retention policies, ensuring all TIA and Titan certifications are current.
• Motivate and empower team members, conduct performance appraisals, and provide constructive feedback.
• Build working relationships with members, ensuring a safe and positive experience and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Complete and administer required training and certifications, including Michelin levels 1–4 within three months of hire.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including temporary assignments in other departments.
• Maintain regular, predictable full attendance; this is an essential function of the position.

• At least 18 years of age; high school diploma preferred, college degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of tires, batteries, propane tanks, and tire bay equipment.
• Prior tire installation and sales experience preferred;
  Level 400 certified technician preferred.
• Must pass Michelin training levels 1–4 within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs with assistance; must hold a Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services qualifier certification for managers on duty overseeing propane operations.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing cross‑functional teams, training team members, and driving results.
