Job Description
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Administrative Services (DAS) is recruiting a Procurement Specialist 2 in our Procurement Section. This position is in the General Government (GGU) bargaining unit as a range 16 and is open to Alaska Residents only.
The position requires full-time on-site work at Joint Base Elmendorf‑Richardson, with remote work permissible up to two days a week subject to the hiring manager’s approval.
What You Will Be DoingAs DMVA’s new Procurement Specialist 2, you will assist in supporting procurement activities for the department and collaborate closely with the Procurement Specialist
3. Your key responsibilities include:
- Procurement of various goods and services, developing and assisting in specifications and scope of work.
- Establishing evaluation criteria and overseeing evaluation committees.
- Managing small and large procurements in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assisting the department property officer with the management of state and federal accountable property when necessary.
