About the Role
The Tradewind Services (TWS) Senior Manager, Business Operations (temporary) role is a high-trust, high-autonomy role serving as an operational extension of the TWS President. The position is responsible for running TWS’s internal leadership operations, owning strategic cross‑functional projects, and managing client relationships - bringing together business operations, executive support, and strategic execution across the organization. This is a temporary engagement covering for someone on leave, requiring a candidate who can operate independently, manage up effectively, and drive execution in a fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities- Own and facilitate the weekly TWS Leadership Meeting — agenda preparation, running the 60‑minute session, and driving all follow‑up and action item accountability
- Ensure consistent participation, agenda quality, and executive‑ready documentation of outcomes
- Lead the annual TWS MBO goal‑formation exercise in partnership with the President and TWS leadership team
- Facilitate monthly check‑ins to track progress, maintain momentum, and escape risks across the quarter
- Own and maintain the master MBO template, tracking documents, and accompanying notes
- Own all onboarding for VP‑level roles reporting to the TWS President
- Develop onboarding documentation including Success Profiles and Performance Acceleration Plans
- Coordinate onboarding schedules: core introductions, department overviews, and 2‑week ramp plans
- Serve as ongoing resource and first point of contact for all TWS VPs on organizational questions
- Serve as an extension of the President on priority projects across any TWS department — sitting in on meetings, building and managing project trackers, and delivering executive‑ready status updates
- Manage escalation protocols, involving the President only when decisions require his direct input
- Strategically convene the right stakeholders, craft thoughtful agendas, and drive follow‑through
- Serve as primary point of contact and internal liaison for all TWS clients
- Own all inbound client inquiries and manage the business development process, including intake screening, first meetings, and executive briefings; involve the President only when a brand warrants further pursuit
- Own all onboarding efforts when a new client is engaged
- Maintain client onboarding playbook, new client intake form, brand onboarding deck, and business development tracker
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
- 5–7 years of experience in project management, chief of staff, or operations roles in a fast‑paced environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams without close supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and communicating with senior executives
- High discretion and professional judgment — this role operates in the office of the President
- Experience with project tracking tools, CLM platforms, and executive calendar management a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and familiarity with enterprise resource planning and transportation/logistics management systems.
This is an in‑office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $111,000 to $140,000; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
