Description: The Strategic Sourcing Analyst provides strategic support within the Strategic Sourcing division of Supply Chain Management, focusing on obtaining annual financial goals. This role manages competitive bidding processes, contract drafting, data analysis, and process improvements to enhance value and efficiency.
Essential Functions- Maintain knowledge of the Group Purchasing Organization's (GPO) and Trinity's contract portfolio, leveraging appropriate agreements and ensuring timely approvals.
- Collaborate with the legal department and sourcing manager in drafting and analyzing communications, ensuring correct distribution and tracking.
- Support competitive bidding for direct and indirect supplies/services/equipment: pre-qualify suppliers, support RFP/RFI creation, accumulate responses, and review product/service information.
- Draft and finalize contract amendments, extensions, and other changes as required by contract or directed by senior leadership.
- Perform contract lifecycle management system requests, tier reporting, SIPs and Eloc.
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets, analyze trends, and develop dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Excel or similar platforms to provide actionable insights.
- Conduct category assessments, including spend analysis, demand forecasting, supply market intelligence, and risk evaluation to identify value creation opportunities.
- Communicate year-over-year spend differences, challenges, and benefits.
- Independently pursue contract optimization opportunities and present findings to the Sourcing Leadership team.
- Analyze markets to determine vendor sources and product/service availability, supporting major purchasing categories.
- Utilize contract construction knowledge to review, red line and draft language, coordinating with legal for complex issues.
- Ensure effective handoff of executed contracts to business owners and stakeholders, including adequate PO placement and milestone tracking.
- Support sourcing and contract management systems, including database audits, report production, and process improvement suggestions.
- Collaborate with other Supply Chain verticals to optimize the Trinity Health-Supplier relationship.
- Serve as a contact for RHM management team members regarding purchasing/sourcing issues, providing guidance and investigating raised issues.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives yielding cost savings, efficiency gains, and enhanced customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, data science, or related field and at least 3 years of sourcing experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of advanced data analytics and procurement practices, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or similar applications.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely.
- Knowledge of bid and contract analysis methods, specification preparation, and record‑keeping standards.
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service orientation and strong interpersonal skills, comfortable in a collaborative, shared‑leadership environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a large, geographically dispersed organization.
- Proficiency in prioritization, multitasking, and coordination in a fast‑paced environment.
