As a Process Improvement Engineer at Center Well, you will lead initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, elevate the patient experience, and drive measurable cost savings across Center Well. You will analyze complex workflows, design continuous improvement strategies, and develop robust measurement frameworks to track performance. The ideal candidate blends industrial engineering principles with a deep understanding of healthcare operations.
The Process Improvement Lead researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data. Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost. Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes. May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and re-engineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements.
Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
- Own and deliver a portfolio of process improvement projects that collectively achieve significant, quantifiable annual cost savings and ROI/NPV targets.
- Lead rapid‑improvement (Kaizen) events and large‑scale transformation programs that produce measurable outcomes in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Accurately define, quantify, validate, and report financial impact (hard savings, soft savings, ROI, NPV) of all initiatives.
- Influence executive stakeholders and cross‑functional partners without formal authority through data‑driven insights and compelling storytelling.
- Advanced problem‑solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Leverage process mapping, statistical analysis (Minitab, JMP), visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and SQL to uncover root causes and validate solutions.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related quantitative field.
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, or operations management.
- Proven experience developing and implementing cost‑saving frameworks and operational dashboards.
- Proficiency in process mapping, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Familiarity with contact center routing technologies, WFM software, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Direct experience within Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Pharmacy, Retail Clinics, and Home Health.
- Master Black Belt certification.
Remote work:
Requires a stable internet connection with minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps. Work from a dedicated space free from interruptions to protect patient information. Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
