Job Overview
Establishes, leads, maintains and expands Clinical FSP customer relationships while overseeing Clinical FSP delivery in alignment with agreements and customer strategy and vision.
Responsibilities- Responsible for one or more global or multiregional FSP partnerships or regional partnerships of larger volume (greater than $15-20M annual revenue) or complexity.
- Serve as primary or escalation point of contact for assigned FSP customer(s), coordinating with operational leaders, functional heads, finance, business development, pricing and strategy, and strategic partnerships.
- Deliver overall performance against the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and manage quality aspects of critical deliverables such as KPIs, milestones, quality audits, and rebates.
- Own and expand customer relationships, ensuring Clinical FSP delivery aligns with agreements and customer strategy.
- Provide strategic oversight of assigned customer(s), defining delivery strategy, ensuring high quality and timely delivery, driving growth, managing risk, and escalating potential issues to leadership.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Partnership Director and Business Development on MSA negotiations, and lead or delegate FSP service contract negotiations for new contracts and change orders.
- After new FSP service award, define and implement the delivery model and onboard internal stakeholders to guarantee quality and timely execution.
- Oversee financial health of assigned partnerships, monitoring budget burn and ensuring adherence to contractual payment terms, working with Accounts Receivable as needed.
- Lead monthly forecasting for assigned customer(s) and communicate deviations to the Finance partner.
- Guide the FSP Delivery team in creating a governance framework for optimal service delivery, meeting time and quality targets.
- Partner with Business Development to expand FSP service lines by engaging stakeholders, connecting subject matter experts, and ensuring delivery meets contract terms and profit and loss objectives.
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, and business development opportunities from a Clinical FSP Delivery perspective, collaborating with Business Development, Proposals, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the work and execution of members of the FSP customer delivery team and support or lead department‑level initiatives such as new offering development and process improvement.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and/or Business Management (Fortrea may consider relevant equivalent experience). - Minimum experience:
10 years in CRO/Pharmaceutical or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, with at least five years of supervisory experience in a health‑care or clinical research setting. - Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Thorough knowledge of the drug development process.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to lead independently global or multiregional FSP partnerships or large complex regional partnerships and manage a team of senior managers.
- Proven ability to engage customers in discussions related to expanded partnerships, innovation, portfolio growth, and pipeline.
- Strong executive presence, the ability to challenge status quo, and identify innovative partnership approaches.
- Independence in creating and driving productive internal and external relationships.
- Agile communication style and effective negotiation skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of inspiring teamwork and constructive confrontation within a matrix organization.
- Problem‑solving mindset, capable of translating ideas and data into tailored FSP operating models.
- Broad understanding of commercialization and deal terms associated with various FSP models.
- Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinking, with analytical skills to drive solutions.
- Strong planning and organizational skills needed for implementing corporate change.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; ability to communicate professionally with customers.
Standard office or home office conditions; extensive telephone and face‑to‑face communication; frequent long hours; travel 20‑40% of time, with approx. 80% requiring overnight stay.
CompensationUS Based Target Pay Range (title based): $160,000–$185,000.
