Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the proposal processes for dozens of complex accounts and multiple relationship managers. This includes setting timelines, coordinating communication, ensuring timely final document review, and coordinating with Accounting on budgets.
  • Process funder reports for vertical Relationship Managers—lifecycle from drafting to final financial and narrative submission, editing content, and ensuring alignment with foundation templates and funder expectations.
  • Maintain a detailed view of the corporate vertical’s funding pipeline, provide feedback on funding gaps, prepare presentations and reports on funding projections, and oversee grant agreement management, internal reviews, legal and accounting coordination, and Salesforce logging.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Director of Strategic Operations and other Development POLs to support Development team operations, assess systems, identify gaps, suggest improvements, and train users on Salesforce, , and Sharepoint.
  • Lead account management and event support operations for the corporate vertical, including Salesforce campaign input, prospect list assessment, executive travel meetings, event communication, and stewardship planning for major donors.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with corporate engagement staff embedded within programs (e.g., Center for Climate Aligned Finance, Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance).
  • Typical allocation: 80% of work on the vertical, 20% service to overall Development Team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in administration, finance, operations, project management, or related fields—e.g., foundation, institutional funder, or fundraising team.
  • Grant administration experience at a foundation, corporation, or nonprofit.
  • Excellent writing, copyediting, and technical communication skills.
  • Project management and budgeting experience with complex budgets and funders.
  • Ability to forecast revenue, manage stakeholder relationships, and make decisions independently.
  • Strong organization, flexibility, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Salesforce, , Sharepoint, and Microsoft Office.
Location

Remote‑ready company; role can be based anywhere within the continental United States. RMI has offices in New York City, Washington DC, Oakland, California, Boulder, Colorado, and Basalt, Colorado.

Compensation

The salary range is $76,030–$93,707, with an annual bonus target of 5% and eligibility for merit‑based increases. Base pay will start toward the lower end of the range. The role also includes allowances: one‑time home technology payment, monthly work‑from‑home/commuter allowance, and travel cost coverage for occasional in‑person meetings.
