Overview
A key member of the Field Performance team who partners, advises and influences Managing Partners and their executive leadership teams to drive aligned growth in their organizations. Considered the primary business advisor, relationship manager and performance driver, with holistic accountability for 3‑4 network offices. Drive performance by applying problem solving and experience‑based judgment to the complex challenges faced by these businesses.
As a principal, you will help build strategy and assist with execution to deliver results in the areas of financial management, talent development, new advisor growth, and culture refinement in your portfolio of offices.
- Influence and execute on MP business plans and vision to align with company strategy, collaborating with MPs to evaluate and improve performance and identify opportunities for growth strategies.
- Stage and sequence initiatives to deliver, working with offices to operationalize and execute strategy locally.
- Offer new and potentially challenging ideas to foster growth.
- Develop relationships with senior leaders and C‑suite leaders to influence recommendations and develop high‑potential talent.
- Support the identification of front‑line field leaders.
- Partner with the Home Office to shape and uphold all policies, practices and ethical standards of the company.
- Act as liaison to represent field and multiply learnings, aligning with company initiatives to accelerate performance improvements.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of progressively responsible work experience emphasizing decision making, finance, consultation, influence and communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding of economic forces affecting the financial services industry.
- Ability to critically and logically evaluate costs, risks and benefits of alternatives before arriving at a solution.
- Ability to engage in and model courageous and constructive dialogue, confidently offering new and potentially challenging ideas.
- Ability to deliver difficult and complex messages and help others understand multiple points of view.
- Ability to anticipate and respond quickly and creatively to change and shifting, sometimes competing, priorities.
- Comfort operating through risk and uncertainty in a high‑volume work environment.
- Knowledge of field financials and contracts helpful.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
