Sr. Jurisdiction & Classification Engineer; Remote

Position Summary

Senior Jurisdiction & Classification Engineer – Global Trade (Remote, US-MA-REMOTE). U.S. Citizenship required with an existing Secret security clearance.

• Conduct comprehensive technical assessments related to export or import controls to ensure compliance with U.S. regulations.
• Manage small projects and/or serve as a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) point of contact (PoC).
• Provide guidance and influence on U.S. Export Controls policies, procedures, and classifications.
• Work independently with minimal oversight and assist with complex Export Classifications.
• Support the Global Trade organization by responding to JCA questions and information from U.S. Government agencies (DDTC, DTSA, BIS).
• Initiate and coordinate Technical Exchanges with Engineering/GT to resolve complex topics and interpretations.
• Interface with engineering, non‑technical disciplines (e.g., Global Trade, program office), and suppliers to determine correct and compliant export classifications.
• Contribute to individual and team organizational goals.
• Assist or manage bids, financial planning, resource planning, or Earned Value (EV) metrics.
• Attend team meetings, program reviews (e.g., JCCB), and teleconferences as required.
• Collaborate with JC COE teammates to enhance continuous learning and improved best practices.
• Complete required trainings (e.g., JCA recertification, Ethics modules, corporate trainings) on time each year.

• Understanding the complexities of U.S. export regulations and how to navigate and apply them to Raytheon commodities.
• Best practices for export classification documentation and international trade procedures.
• Cross‑functional collaboration within a large Global Trade organization.

Required
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (unless prohibited by local laws).
• Experience performing U.S. export commodity jurisdiction and classification assessments with USML and CCL.
• Experience with JCA tools such as OCR, xClass, CommonPDM, Windchill or similar.

• Strong knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance policies and procedures.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
• Sound judgment and ethical decision‑making with a strategic and mission‑focused mindset.
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).

• U.S. Citizenship (only U.S. citizens eligible for security clearance).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance – Secret clearance required (existing clearance required after day
  1).
• Successful completion of required training and certifications per company policy.
