Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth, high‑level training for internal and external customers as needed.
  • Oversee the handling of government notices by team members for timely and accurate resolution.
  • Review, assist with, or assign research projects completed by the department.
  • Create reports and action plans based on department trend analysis and system data.
  • Develop and update Flex system for reporting and analysis.
  • Handle Liquidated Damages on behalf of the company and customers as needed.
  • Provide impeccable customer service.
  • Act as subject‑matter expert, offering guidance, education, and answers to internal and external customers.
  • Solicit and maintain all customs compliance documentation with customers.
  • Handle confidential or sensitive information and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, departments, executive management, customers, and government agencies to deliver high‑level service.
  • Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies.
  • Participate in customer, departmental, and company meetings.
  • Train team members as required.
  • Confirm receipt of government inquiries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical functions for the Regulatory department.
  • Execute complex regulatory functions including CF28s, CF29s, seizure notices, redelivery notices, FDA registrations, and more.
  • Review quality referral disputes for accuracy as an impartial mediator.
  • Monitor and update miscellaneous regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain brokerage systems following government updates.
  • Review company procedures for accuracy and ensure compliance.
  • Create company notices for internal and external customers.
  • Research discrepancies arising from regulatory matters.
  • Analyze trends from QA disputes, suggest internal training needs, and conduct reviews of customs documents.
  • Provide internal guidance by vetting research and formatting communications and training materials; collaborate with the Legal department for approvals.
  • Support management and operations during CBP/PGA compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate on drafting company RIGHT documents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a business field.
  • Four years of brokerage work experience required; regulatory experience preferred.
  • Brokers License required.
  • QDM Apprentice required.
  • Thorough knowledge of customs regulations, harmonized tariff schedule, and other federal agency laws, regulations, and procedures governing the customs brokerage industry, with preferred emphasis on post‑entry processes.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a time‑sensitive environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Capacity to handle high volume and time‑sensitive work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Remote work; candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of one of the following:
    Romulus, MI;
    Memphis, TN;
    Buffalo, NY;
    Atlanta, GA;
    Los Angeles, CA;
    Boston, MA;
    Houston, TX; or Seattle, WA.
  • 1st Shift hours and days TBD.

Pay Range: $4,964.26 - $9,419.27
