Facilities Manager – A key role responsible for managing facility-related projects, programs, maintenance, and related activities within Gordon Food Service Store to ensure safe, secure, and cost‑effective facilities for our customers and employees.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine store inspections and facility audits, and make actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate facility assets, assess condition, and set maintenance and replacement priorities as part of the asset management program.
- Participate actively in the After Hours Support Program and provide basic refrigeration and mechanical support using specialized software.
- Provide input for expense and capital budgets of planned projects; review, monitor, and analyze budget variances, developing corrective plans when needed.
- Deliver facilities‑related training to store management teams in collaboration with training departments and regional teams.
- Assist in developing, training on, and implementing repair and maintenance programs that empower store teams to handle routine, minor, or urgent situations.
- Review and develop planned and unplanned project proposals, determining timelines, funding approvals, and resource requirements; ensure projects stay on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Coordinate building and repair projects with contractors, regional teams, and store management.
- Research, evaluate, qualify, negotiate, and select vendors for scheduling and providing maintenance and repair services; manage vendor performance to meet quality and timeliness requirements.
- Develop and maintain documented policies, procedures, specifications, and processes related to facilities management.
- Conduct research and report on best practices, new technologies, equipment, and processes that could yield increased efficiencies and cost savings.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, use personal protective equipment, and adhere to established quality standards.
- Participate in Home Office and/or field leadership structured meetings, updates, and ride‑withs as required.
- Three (3)+ years of experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or a related field; multi‑unit retail experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Construction or Facilities Management preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Positive, team‑oriented mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working independently while making sound decisions.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with reporting, budgeting, or data analysis is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50–70%, including occasional overnight travel.
- Excellent customer service, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
