We are seeking a Specialist II Regulatory to support our U.S. natural gas regulatory program, contributing to rate, tariff, and certificate filings for both existing assets and new development projects. In this role, you will coordinate regulatory submissions, compliance reporting, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring adherence to FERC requirements.
You will act as a key liaison across internal teams, customers, legal counsel, and regulators, managing high-volume regulatory filings and supporting regulatory proceedings.
- Support the development and execution of regulatory strategies for rate case filings, facility expansions, and service changes.
- Prepare and compile cost-of-service statements, schedules, and rate-design analyses for regulatory filings.
- Coordinate and submit blanket certificate applications and other filings to FERC for new projects.
- Manage preparation and submission of compliance reports and notifications to be filed pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations for Blanket Certificate reporting and related notifications (e.g., 2.55 Auxiliary Facility and Replacement notifications, Peak Day reporting, semi-annual storage reporting, and Texas Railroad Commission reporting).
- Coordinate the preparation and review of quarterly, semi-annual and annual regulatory filings, including fuel/electric trackers, index of customers, entitlements and PCB audit; review financial reports prepared by accounting for submission to regulatory agencies.
- Provide regulatory guidance to project development teams, ensuring alignment with evolving requirements and interpretations.
- Lead the preparation, filing, and follow-up actions associated with FERC-mandated submissions, including negotiated and non-conforming agreements.
- Manage all jurisdictional tariffs to ensure full FERC compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law, Environmental Science, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to draw sound, logical conclusions.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry practices, with working knowledge of Enbridge assets considered an asset.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- 10+ years of industry experience in regulatory, energy, or related sectors would be an asset.
