UK Transfer Agency Subject Matter Expert / Business Analyst

Location: Luxembourg, with a high degree of remote working flexibility
Working pattern: Hybrid, with a minimum of 5 days per month on‑site in Luxembourg

Skillfinder International is currently looking to identify experienced UK Transfer Agency specialists for an upcoming consulting assignment with one of our key financial services clients in Luxembourg.

Our client is working on a strategic project linked to the UK funds market and requires external expertise to support the interpretation of UK Transfer Agency practices, terminology, business processes and market‑specific requirements.

This is not a standard operational Transfer Agency role. The client is looking for a senior profile who can bring genuine UK market expertise, support functional discussions, contribute to gap analysis and help internal product and delivery teams understand how UK‑specific requirements should be reflected within a fund administration software environment.

The consultant will act as a bridge between UK market practices, client requirements and internal software/product teams. You will work closely with teams in Luxembourg, composed of Business Analysts, product specialists, services teams and client‑facing stakeholders to help assess what is standard market practice, what is client‑specific, and what may require configuration, clarification or further development.

• Provide specialist insight into UK Transfer Agency practices, terminology and operating models.
• Analyse UK‑specific client requirements and help translate them into clear functional input.
• Review business requirements, functional specifications and client documentation.
• Support gap analysis between UK market practices, client expectations and the existing fund administration platform.
• Help identify whether requirements are standard UK market practice, client‑specific processes, configuration topics or potential development needs.
• Clarify terminology differences between UK stakeholders and Luxembourg‑based product or delivery teams.
• Work in close collaboration with internal Business Analysts and platform specialists.
• Contribute to workshops, requirement clarification sessions and project alignment meetings.
• Provide practical recommendations to help the client move towards a UK‑compliant and market‑aligned solution.
• Travel to Luxembourg when required for key workshops and stakeholder meetings.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in UK Transfer Agency
, ideally gained within an asset manager, fund administrator, transfer agent, asset servicer, financial software provider or consulting environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong knowledge of UK Transfer Agency processes and market practices.
• Experience working with UK funds, investor servicing, fund administration or TA operations.
• The ability to explain UK‑specific terminology and requirements to non‑UK stakeholders.
• Experience in business analysis, functional analysis, process review or gap analysis.
• A strong understanding of how operational requirements are translated into system functionality.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to challenge requirements constructively and distinguish between market standards and client‑specific requests.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• The flexibility to travel to Luxembourg for at least 5 days per month.

The following experience would be beneficial:

• Exposure to fund administration platforms or Transfer Agency systems.
• Knowledge of Multifonds or similar software platforms.
• Experience with software implementation, migration or regulatory change projects.
• Previous consulting or project‑based experience.
• Exposure to Luxembourg, Irish or cross‑border fund servicing environments.

The role will be linked to Luxembourg, where the project and key delivery teams are based. However, the client is open to a flexible hybrid model, with a large part of the assignment delivered remotely.

The consultant must be able to spend a minimum of 5 days per month in the Luxembourg office
, mainly for workshops, project alignment sessions and key stakeholder meetings.

This is a highly specialised consulting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining market expertise, functional analysis and advisory work.

You will play a key role in helping a major financial services client better understand UK Transfer Agency requirements and translate them into practical software, process and delivery decisions.
