Position Overview
Senior Manager, Contracts – Lead international direct commercial contracting across the Precision Fires & Maneuver Sub Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) within Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) in Tucson, AZ. Remote (U.S. citizen or U.S. person; must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance).
Responsibilities- Effectively communicate with internal and external senior‑level customers and partners to establish mutually beneficial relationships, resolve complex and multi‑faced problems, and influence business decisions; including advising of contractual rights and obligations and managing risk mitigation.
- Strong aptitude for contract negotiations; ability to understand the financial aspects of overall business interests – contracts and other business arrangements; ability to contribute to strategy regarding growth paths and creative solutions.
- Travel domestic and international approximately 50% due to programs being based in Tucson, AZ and required international customer meetings.
- University degree or equivalent experience, minimum 10 years of relevant experience, OR advanced degree in a related field with minimum 7 years of experience.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
Direct Commercial Sale (DCS), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Other Transaction Authority (OTA), and/or commercial contracting in Aerospace and Defense. - Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) / Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) contracting.
- Excellent collaboration and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and build effective relationships based on respect and trust.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Cross‑functional experience (pricing, finance, procurement).
- Working knowledge of export control statutes, including ITAR, EAR, offset and localization requirements.
- Active U.S. Government issued security clearance (Secret).
U.S. citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance is required. Security clearance status: active and existing clearance required after day
1.
Compensation range: $132,400 – $251,600
USD. Additional short‑/long‑term incentive compensation may be awarded.
