Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Business Administration
Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth, high-level training for internal and external customers.
- Oversee handling of government notices by team members, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Review, assist with, or assign research projects completed by the department.
- Create reports and action plans based on trend analysis and system data; conduct system creation, updates, reporting, and analysis.
- Handle Liquidated Damages on behalf of the company and customers.
- Deliver impeccable customer service.
- Serve as subject matter expert to guide and answer queries of internal and external customers.
- Solicit and maintain customs compliance documentation with customers.
- Handle confidential or sensitive information and projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal staff, other departments, executive management, customers, and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies.
- Participate in customer, departmental, and company meetings.
- Train team members as needed.
- Confirm receipt of government inquiries and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical functions for Regulatory department.
- Manage complex regulatory functions such as CF28s, CF29s, seizure notices, redelivery notices, and FDA registrations.
- Review quality referral disputes for accuracy as an impartial mediator.
- Monitor and update Regulatory owned reporting.
- Maintain brokerage system updates based on government updates.
- Review company procedures for accuracy and ensure compliance.
- Create company notices for internal and external customers.
- Research discrepancies arising from regulatory matters.
- Research trends for potential issues identified from QA disputes and suggest internal training needs.
- Conduct reviews of customs documents.
- Provide internal guidance by vetting research, formatting communications, and training material; work directly with Legal department for approval of internal publications.
- Provide support to management and operations during CBP/PGA compliance reviews.
- Research and collaborate in drafting company RIGHT documents.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business field.
- Minimum four years of brokerage work experience.
- Regulatory experience preferred.
- Brokers License required.
- QDM Apprentice required.
- Thorough knowledge of customs regulations, harmonized tariff schedule, and federal agency laws, regulations, and procedures governing the customs brokerage industry, with emphasis in post-entry processes.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a time-sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Preferred:
Experience with CF28s, CF29s, seizure notices, redelivery notices, FDA registrations.
- Remote work; candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of specified locations (Romulus, MI; Memphis, TN; Buffalo, NY; Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; Boston, MA; Houston, TX; or Seattle, WA).
- 1st shift role hours and days TBD.
Pay Range: $4,964.26 - $9,419.27.
